

Recipients must be international students from developing countries who plan to return to their country of origin to teach, after graduation. No separate application for scholarship is needed. At admission, students entering the program are automatically considered for scholarships, with evaluation based on the relative strength of their application package. Within the limits of each scholarship’s designation, all monies are awarded on the basis of merit. Scholarships at the Center for Advanced Theological Studies are offered competitively. PhD ICS students engage in missiologically-oriented research, drawing upon one or more of the following academic discipline areas: Anthropology, Children at Risk, Communication, International Development, Islamic Studies, Leadership, History of Christianity, Mission Theology, Missional Church/Church and Society, and Urban Mission. CMR oversees the PhD and ThM programs in Fuller’s School of Intercultural Studies, the Global Research Institute (GRI) postdoctoral fellowship program, and the annual Missiology Lectures, among other initiatives. The David Allan Hubbard Library on the Pasadena, California, campus houses Fuller Theological Seminary’s main collection. The Libraries are dedicated to acquiring resources in a variety of formats, with a focus on Theology, Intercultural Studies, Psychology, and other related disciplines. The Fuller Libraries boast a collection of over 575,000 print items, access to over 400,000 ebooks, over 45,000 print and electronic journal volumes, and access to over 120 different databases.
